Okay, so the first episode is done and we’re now working on episode 2, which is more like a promo we think for the whole show. Anyway, that should be posted some time this weekend.

Some have asked if any of us own an XBOX 360 & Halo 3 and if not, why we’re so poor and suck and stuff. The answer is some of us were able to afford it, but there’s a few of us that are currently stuck on 2 just like the show says.  Those of us stuck constantly get our party invites ignored by our former friends who refuse to return to Halo 2. Jerks.

Some were left behind. This is their story…

Stuck On 2 is an episodic satirical series about a 4-member clan and their continuing crappy adventures with the “douchebag brigade” that still inhabit the HALO 2 XBOX LIVE community.

You know the douchebags - they’re the modders with the antagonizing and racist remarks that make you think, “gee, what a great society we made for ourselves” and reinforce “how we’ve come so far as a civilization.”

Rather than actually film anything or use videogames to act out the dialog in the scripts we write, we here at Beatnik Turtle decided instead to create a brand new style of animation we call “mashitima.” It’s basically a low-tech and even lazier version of machinima. This allows us to make weekly pieces of animation with a small group of people without paying anyone anything since there’s really no work involved at all.

To make matters even more confusing, Beatnik Turtle - the creative juice behind this series - is a rock band. A rock band that likes to play HALO. But a rock band nonetheless. So, while most of the time you can find them at www.TheSongOfTheDay.com writing one song a day for every day of 2007, some of them still somehow find the time out of their busy rock ‘n’ roll lifestyles to crap a few episodes out for you n00bs.

Some people just have too much time on their hands.
